Back in January, Darling's hosted its annual All Employee Meeting at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. Due to the pandemic, we were unable to gather in 2021 or 2022. For several employees including our Brunswick team, it was their first time getting to join in the festivities. This is the one time a year all our employees are together in one place and we like to make it special. We have food, drinks, and fellowship to start before the chosen entertainment. This year we were lucky enough to have Juston McKinney, Comedian, and former York County Deputy Sheriff. He did not disappoint with many of our group being in stitches.
One of the most anticipated parts of our night is presenting The Owen Darling Award. This prestigious award is named after the one and only Owen Darling, who established the Darling's we know today back in 1937. The award is given to an employee that embodies the characteristics and attributes that follow our company values. Along with the award, the recipient receives an extra weeks vacation to the destination of their choice.
